Travel Grant Competition

The Travel Grant is designed to assist those in need with travel expenses to the Annual Meeting. Maximum award is $600 with $6,000 being the total amount that will be awarded each year by the Association (multiple grants may be awarded in a single year). Grants can be applied towards any cost associated with attending and presenting at the meeting (the meeting registration fee will be waived for awardees).  The travel grants are awarded on a competitive basis for those who would otherwise be financially unable to attend the annual meeting and preference may be given to students and rural residents although anyone who can demonstrate need is welcome to apply.

Applicants must be a current member of the Association or be sponsored by a current member of the Association. If sponsored by a current member the applicant must supply a short letter of support from their sponsor. Sponsors may submit applications on behave of applicants. The applicant must be an author or collaborator on a paper or poster being presented, or a participant in a group format symposium. With the 2022 conference being held virtually, the travel grant competition is on hiatus. Check back for due dates and the application form for 2023.
