52nd Annual Meeting – Call for Symposia and Sessions Extended!

The Alaska Anthropological Association will hold its 52nd Annual Meeting in Anchorage, Alaska March 13th through the 15th on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus.  March 12th is reserved for workshops and training opportunities that will be held in the Beatrice McDonald Hall.  March 13-15th will include presentations, the banquet and awards (Friday, March 14th), the luncheon (March 15th), and the business meeting (March 16th).

We welcome ideas for sessions, symposia, workshops, trainings, films, panel discussions, and interest group meetings related to northern Anthropology and related fields. To provide adequate room reservations and accommodations, we request that abstracts be submitted by Friday, December 20th, 2024. Please submit your proposals using this link. Abstracts should be no more than 200 words.

Abstracts for individual papers, posters, or multi-media presentations are due on January 17th, 2025 and can be submitted here. Please limit your submissions to no more than 200 words.
