The 2026 Alaska Anthropological Association annual meeting will be a joint conference with the Northwest Anthropological Conference (NWAC) hosted by Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA from March 25-28.  We will be offering additional travel grants to help students take advantage of this unique networking opportunity.

More news to come in the weeks ahead. We are envisioning joint sessions to leverage shared and contrasting perspectives between our two regions, so start thinking about topics that would lend themselves to joint paper sessions with our colleagues in the Pacific Northwest!
