Alaska Consortium of Zooarchaeologists

The Alaska Consortium of Zooarchaeologists is a volunteer organization dedicated to developing a world-class comparative collection of animal bones and other tissues of animals endemic to Alaska and the north that are likely to be found in archaeological sites.  The comparative collective is available at the University of Alaska Anchorage to researchers working on northern and Alaskan faunal collections from archaeological, paleontological, zoological and other contexts where researchers might need to identify animal bones and tissues.  You can learn more about utilizing the collections or contributing to the consortium through the web site: http://www.akzooarch.org.
