We are proud to announce the upcoming workshop PACE, which stands for “Prehistoric Adaptations to Cold Environments: multidisciplinary approaches”. This event will take place on January 8 and 9 in Nice, France.
The main goal of this workshop is to bring attention to current research methods and results contributing to a better understanding of long-term, complex human-environment interactions in the Arctic and Subarctic from the Final Pleistocene onwards. Guest speakers from different backgrounds mainly working in east Siberia and Alaska will address several topics such as: paleoenvironment and climate change, taphonomy in periglacial sedimentary contexts, prehistoric mobility and subsistence, techno-economy of different raw materials, current northern peoples’ lifeways, etc.
You will find attached the call for posters as well as the registration form (registration is free of charge but mandatory).
The abstract deadline is November 5th 2018 and please note that acceptance notification will take place 48h after abstract reception.
If there are other researchers who you think would be interested in participating, please feel free to forward this invitation or inform us directly.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
Looking forward to seeing you in Nice,
